BROKEN CRAYONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Darkness. Everywhere darkness. Except for the flashes from the big screen.  White, red, blue lights, changed its colours on the screen. Different colours, different moods reflected on the faces of the audience. Thud! Bang! Melodies! Different music.

Everyone sinked into the commotion as the movie caught the eyes and interest of everyone.
Except for two people.

Earlier that day, she wore her brand new jacket, tucked her fingers into the long sleeves, made her body brave enough to face the shivers of winter. On her way to the movie hall, she smiled and giggled with her cousins out of joy.
It was a movie for people of her age. How could she miss it? She sat on the seats, like she is preparing herself for a joy ride. So much was the excitement that evolved within her.
Advertisements. No smoking. Trailers. Movie starts. Lights off. Noise from the audience comes to an end. Characters introduced. Comedy-she laughed. Teenage moments- she giggled.
But there was one thing , she never expected, she never knew how and when a new mystery crept into her own life as a different mystery played its role in the movie. Whether this was a dark mystery or a happy mystery was indeed a big mystery. As she felt like a stranger to the movie, she was also treated like a stranger by her Known-stranger , sitting next to her.
The air conditioner blew cold air into her face, goose bumps bumped themselves up, shouting to her that it is very cold. She took the message and covered her cold fingers with her long sleeves again.
But again, the goose bumps did not bid good-bye but bumped themselves even more. But this time, it was not cause of the cold air, but cause of something different, something alien to her body.
She felt a different heat, as the head of the Known- stranger fell on her shoulders, resting with a yawn. She kept quiet and smiled in confusion, as it was the Known-stranger. Laughed in between as the comedy played its role in the movie,

But suddenly, she couldn’t concentrate; her goose bumps were bursting out of her soft skin. New tension in her body. A tension unknown to her. Again it was the Known stranger; he tucked his hands into her jacket.
Cold air and sweat, both at the same time left her in confusion, her stomach ached in tension.
The Known –stranger, did not stop, he yawned even more and placed his hands on her chest and almost compressed it, putting all his body weight on her and left her breathless, thoughtless and speechless.
She moved her eyes to her cousin, sitting next to her, but her cousin had sinked into the mystery of the movie that she could not notice the real mystery next to her.
Her hands and legs ached in suffocation. Her head wanted to burst out. Her Known- stranger was becoming heavy, dominating and different. She pushed him away, but it was of no use. She wanted to cry out of pain, but she couldn’t.

Just like the saying “ Every Night Has A Day” , the darkness came to an end, the roof threw its rays on her. The Known-stranger got up to get popcorn for her and the other KIDS. He was as fresh as a new day. The yawns had disappeared. It all felt like a dream to her.

Yes!! The Known-stranger was none other than her Own Sweet Uncle. And she was none other than A Sweet Little Child of just 12 years of age.
As the other kids laughed and giggled for the innocent jokes each other cracked, she sat idle innocently thinking of the joke that was just played on her. But this joke didn’t make her laugh. It made her cry silently, somewhere deep inside, as the pain increased both physically and mentally.
She cleverly changed her place, after the interval but now she was tired. Both physically and mentally tired. Her eyes couldn’t keep up with the movie and its mystery as her own mystery irritated her.
She did not know what to do. Yes she was away from the Known-stranger and she was away from the movie and her fellow kids. She was in a different world, so she preferred becoming blind to the joke that was played on her and she slept a tired sleep.

Marco-polo
I think we all have played this game, when we were kids. A person will be blind-folded and the kids run helter-skelter, trying to dodge him. But the rule of the game instructs the other players to shout the word "DANGER", when the blind-folded person is about to hit a wall or fall into a pit and many others dangerous things.

“Do not talk to strangers”
“ Do not take sweets from them!”
“ Do not go alone on the roads”
“Do not do this or do not do that”

Every single day,  we give our little ones, so many advises and guidelines, which is truly important. Our little ones are blindfolded with the gift of innocence from God, they judge what is wrong or right by what we tell them.
They trust us. They believe us. They love us. They love us for who we are.
How can we cheat them and their little hearts?
Isn’t it our duty to inform them, that both good guys and bad guys exist in their surroundings?
By bad guys, I am not referring to thieves, kidnappers but other such popular bad guys, who do not own a heart, even if they do, its all just a part of science.

I am referring to that heartless uncle who was more of child sexual abuser, whose heart and mind was conquered by the evil. Even a child looks like a sex object to SUCH PSYCHOS. Their thirst reaches the weak, the innocent, clearly just the kids, who do not understand or even realize what is the meaning and the impact of the word ‘sex’.
But these beautiful little ones become prey to the worlds dirtiest, heartless predators – Child Sexual Abusers.
Why don’t we warn our kids about such predators?
No one is talking about sex education.
That is a completely different subject.
Not at all relevant here.
I am just talking about giving our little ones awareness on the Danger Zones.
Just red high lighted lines for our sweet little ones which indicates the danger zones they need to be aware of.
Watch this clip, you will know what I am talking about…..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPK7e_6-JMk&feature=related
The workshop at the end of the show, guided by a doctor, was something which is a must for every child and parent. If you have missed it, catch the episode online on the Satyamev Jayate website [http://www.satyamevjayate.in/] and, as Aamir said, try and hold this workshop with your children or even the neighbourhood kids at least once every six months. After all, just like a child must know never to accept an eatable from a stranger or never to touch an unclaimed bag (there might be a bomb in there), he or she MUST know what kind of behaviour from an adult is within limits and what is not.

Didn’t this clip, bring a smile to your face, if not in the end but at least in the beginning? Yes! Kids bring a smile to our faces.
That’s the magic of kids. Their innocence spreads very quickly into the hearts of every person present around them.
When such little ones are hurt, isn’t it our duty to protect them?
Our Indian law does not have any law for child sexual abuse; a bill is still pending in the Supreme Court.
What a shame!!! Shame on our law, our country, our world and most of all on US!!!
If we are not ready to protect our kids then who will protect them?
Aren’t we giving the predators, an easy path for pleasure?

Yes!!!!!
Play Marco-Polo with your kids and you will be surprised as to how much they trust every “Danger” warning of yours!!!!
Kids are a gift,abuse is a curse.
Prevention is better than cure!!
Act before its too late!
Our little ones need us more than anyone!
Lets not cheat them!
God wont forgive, those who hurt his beautiful creations OR even those who let them get hurt.

Conclusion
She never wore her brand new jacket again, as it reminded her of the Dark Day
But she felt lucky that it was her only Dark Day.

  7. Hey Rash,
I am so happy to c u bloggin... and wow wt a sensitive topic to deal wit "child Abuse". tis is one alarming issuse which each and everyone especailly the kids need to know. It is important 4 a child to know wt a gud touch is and wt a bad touch it... parents need to take tis issuse more seriously and not ignore it. i pitty the kids who r victims of thier own parents. Child abuse can actually ruin a chilsd life mentally and emotionally and tht kid might neva get out of the truma. i am really happy u delt wit the issue in a very suttle innocent way. i liked the way u have written a alarmin issue in a very swt way.... keep goin . lets hope tis blog brings awarness among ppl..... and lets hop ppl r more aware and senstitve to such issues..... let the child enjoy its chilhood and not b traumatised by such things......
